I'm an artist. I like to play many roles, adapting to each project. I have been a VFX artist, graphic designer, UX artist, videographer, illustrator - each role informs the others. Until I hone in on my perfect thing, I'm going to keep experimenting.

VFX Artist on Space Marine
I enjoyed making the Warhammer 40,000 universe feel explosive and intense in Space Marine. As the principal effects artist on the team, I concepted and built all the weapon fire, including futuristic ballistics, fantasy plasma and over-the-top bloody executions.
User Interface Artist on Dawn of War 2
It was pleasingly challenging to build an easy-to-use and fun interface for this real-time strategy with RPG elements. I chose to abandon the traditional Starcraft-style HUD for something lighter weight and more scalable. My favorite thing to design was the Bridge, an orbit-view console that is complex but clear, and styled in a sleek W40K way.
Truly one of my favorite experiences in life was learning how to model, texture, light and composite in 3D. Four months to learn the tools and four months to create a reel. Eight months of hardcore focus, then you feel great!
